SAP and Nokia Join Forces to Fight Counterfeiting with Original1

In this video, SAP TV takes some hidden cameras into Electric City in Shanghai, one of the most popular knockoff markets in the world. Counterfeiting is a huge problem in the electronics world, costing companies an estimated 200-600 million Euro annually. To combat the problem, Nokia and SAP have joined forces to form a new company called Original1. The Original1 anti-counterfeiting solution combines SAP software with mobile phone technology: with a normal cell phone, consumers can identify exactly where a product comes from and if it’s genuine or fake.
