1) Data Integration: They had to run several reports and combine the data in order to get what they truly were after.

2) Manual Process: They had to manually update reports every night to ensure that they had the latest metrics.

Using Crystal Reports for Salesforce.com, they were able to pull all of the data that they needed from various source systems into one single report and establish triggers to automatically refresh reports.
